Fleet of Kayaks Now Available for Charter

Getting out on the water is even easier at AYC. We have six kayaks -- one tandem and five singles. You can find them at the Sailing Center. They are available for rental on a first come first served basis. There will be a steward on hand to check out kayaks from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. For weekday rentals, you can find Jay Kehoe at the Junior Sailing building or call him at (410) 320-3241. Call the Front Desk for more information.

Members are required to bring a PFD (Coast Guard approved) and either a cell phone (in a couple of zip lock bags) or a VHF radio. Download the yacht charter agreement and bring a completed copy with you. Paper copies are available at the Front Desk.

J/22 Rentals

AYC is fortunate to have a fleet of three very competitive J/22s. These boats are available for rental/charter on a daily basis. This fleet is reserved for member only charters. Each charter must prove his or her competence in rigging, sailing and docking a J/22. Each boat must be reserved by contacting Jay Kehoe (Waterfront Director) at least 24 hours prior to the sail. If you are a first time charter, we must perform a check out to make sure you are a competent sailor. 

These boats are available for Wednesday and Thursday night races.

Rates:

$100		Full day/eight hours
$50		Half day/four hours
$25		Two hours (Wed/Thurs night race)
