The Annapolis Yacht Club Memorial Day Ceremony honors the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country, and those Yacht Club members who have passed away during the preceding year. The laying of a wreath and annual blessing of the Annapolis Yacht Club fleet are also part of the Ceremony.     It will start promptly at noon and last approximately 30 minutes. A traditional BBQ Cook Out on the Skipjack deck will follow.     All members and their guests are invited to attend, either in person or by boat. Boats attending are encouraged to become part of the ceremony by "Dressing Ship."     The ceremony will be conducted on the "L" dock, with viewing from the Clubhouse first, second, and third decks as well as the participating boats. This will provide better viewing for those members and their guests attending the ceremony.

       Participating boats will need to be in position in the slips in front of the Clubhouse, or rafted at the end of the main Clubhouse docks and be "dressed" by 11 a.m.

    The traditional BBQ Cook Out with hamburgers, hot dogs, pig roast, etc. will be available immediately following the ceremony for $15.95++ for those over 12. Family participation is encouraged and there will be no charge for children 12 and under.

    Musical entertainment provided by Orlando Phillips (www.orlandophillips.com) along with Face Painting and Balloon Twisting for the children’s entertainment until 3 p.m.

    Docking assistance will also be provided for participating boats starting at 8 a.m.
