Although both classes have shared this fall weekend on the AYC regatta calendar for years, this is the first time in recent memory that they are also both hosting major fleet championships during the regatta. The Etchells with their Atlantic Coast Championship and the Stars with double-billing, sailing the Lippincott Memorial Regatta and 2nd District Championship, concurrently over the upcoming weekend. The Etchells kick off their weekend on Friday afternoon with a clinic run by 2015 Etchells Class World Champion, Skip Dieball. Both classes begin racing on Saturday morning, with the Etchells' first warning at 1030 followed soon after by the Star class.
