The inaugural DH Distance Race hosted by AYC in September had a special challenge included in the Notice of Race for each competitor: “Each boat will be required to provide and carry an action camera (GoPro3, iPhone, or equivalent) for on board video which will be used in the production of a race highlights video.” Most of the competitors complied and turned in a chip at the end of the race that was shipped off to a production company to be spliced in to the finished product along with video shot by Gary Jobson’s team. We think the completed piece is great and congratulations to Mike Coe and Cate Muller who won the best clip submission prize awarded by the Event Committee.
