Charleston Race Week Wrap Up
Charleston Race Week, a favorite on the regatta calendar and the lead up regatta to the Helly Hansen NOOD Regatta in Annapolis, wrapped up this weekend with over 250 boats on 5 circles. AYC had a great turnout on the water with members in various fleets and on the Race Committee.

Charleston Race Week, a favorite on the regatta calendar and the lead up regatta to the Helly Hansen NOOD Regatta in Annapolis, wrapped up this weekend with over 250 boats on 5 circles. AYC had a great turnout on the water with members in various fleets and on the Race Committee. Sailing a VX One, Sandy Askew and Kyle and Willy Comerford. In the J/70 class: Allan Terhune and Chris Larson, Ray Wulff, Pete Firey, and Brian Wood. Jeff Todd with daughter Cassie were 1st in the J/80s on Shannon Lockwood’s boat, and Bert Carp also sailed in the class. Matt Beck, Ian Gordon, John Torgerson, and Larry Leonard sailed on George Collin’s Tripp 62 Chessie Racing. On the GP 26 Rattle Hum, Ted and Joanna Haaland. Scott Nixon was on the 1st place boat in ORC 1, the TP 52 Fox. V/C Jonathan Bartlett sailing on the J/122 Teamwork who took first place in ORC 2 and won the prestigious Palmetto Cup.
