Interclub Racing Event Comes to AYC

The inaugural Annapolis 3-2-1 Invitational is a couple of weeks away and members of the Adult Interclub Race Committee are hard at work prepping all aspects of this new regatta. Annapolis to Newport Race partner, Barbados Tourism Marketing, Inc., is joining in the fun by supporting this event along fellow Barbados-based favorite, Mount Gay Rum! Representatives from both Barbados and Mount Gay will be welcoming members at the Clubhouse during Happy Hour on Friday, September 13.

This unique racing format, developed by our Adult Interclub Race group, will put AYC on the map of the growing national interclub team race circuit. It promises to be exciting and engaging for both competitors and spectators. Over the three days, teams of six crew members will race in three different racing disciplines: 3v3 team racing with two per boat, 2v2 team racing with three per boat, and 1v1 match racing with all six on the same boat. We look forward to welcoming teams from New York YC, Chicago YC, Newport Harbor YC, Fishing Bay YC, Ida Lewis and Bristol YCs, and Annapolis YC. Several other yacht clubs may yet be announced. Get involved! There will be great parties in our amazing Sailing Center and at the Clubhouse. Host visiting racers, participate with Race Committee, or come out and cheer on your team.
