  • Knotty Girls
    • 2024 Calendar of Events - TBD
This calendar will be updated as activities are finalized

Knotty Girls programs create opportunities for women to share and learn about boating, increasing their comfort level with boats and being on the water in a fun, relaxed, and social environment.

Throughout spring, summer, and fall, Knotty Girls offer water-based activities, including learn-to-sail, learn-to-race, docking, anchoring, navigation, and man overboard drills. On-the-water programs include training on both sailboats and powerboats and usually run for several hours, depending upon the timing of sunset, and attendees often convene to the clubhouse for dinner afterwards.

In the winter, Knotty Girls programs shift into indoor mode, and Tuesday evenings are filled with Knotty Girl talk! In past winters, Knotty Girls' organizers have offered well-attended programs ranging from knot tying, navigation, safety at sea, electrical systems, emergency situations, and race committee work. The casual winter classes are offered for one hour on Tuesday evenings, followed by a social time with hors d'oeuvres.

If you've been thinking about getting involved with the Knotty Girls, we welcome you to sign up for a program, or contact us at [email protected].
