Mischief - Boat of the Year Recognition 
As previously reported, competing on a Grand Soleil 40 under the CRCA rating system at many events including AYC’s Spring Race to Oxford (1st Place CRCA Racer Cruiser) and Fall Race to Solomons (1st Place CRCA Performance Cruiser), Peter Henry and crew were recently awarded 1st Place in the 2019 North Sails-CRCA Boat of the Year Series.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year! 
Yes folks, with one more Frostbite day on the 2019 calendar that means that Hangover Bowl is just around the corner! Open to everyone who has registered for the 2019-2020 AYC Frostbite Series, why wouldn’t you want to join your fellow competitors for the most fun you can have the “morning after”… it may be painful but it’s a guaranteed good time.

2020 Regatta Calendar – No Rest For The Weary!  
The Sailing Committee has approved the preliminary 2020 calendar for AYC-hosted regattas or those where we participate solely with the Race Committee supporting course management, such as Leukemia Cup. The Notices of Race will be published by the end of January with online entry open soon after.

AYC Foundation Congratulates Leo Boucher on College Sailing Singlehanded National Championship Win 
The AYC Foundation would like to congratulate Leo Boucher on winning the LaserPerformance College Sailing Singlehanded National Championship in Santa Barbara, California this past weekend, November 9-10. Sailing as a college sophomore representing St. Mary's College of Maryland, Leo was six points out of 1st after Saturday and went on to dominate on Sunday to capture the National Championship title.

2019 J/24 Worlds – 79 Teams Strong 
The “work horse” of the J/Boats family had an amazing number of competitors from around the globe on the waters of Biscayne Bay this past week, with 79 competitors wrapping up five days of competition on Saturday, October 26 after 10 races.
J/105s and J/35s Round Out the ’19 Regatta Calendar 
The fall championships for two long standing one design fleets took place over the weekend with the J/105s competing in the Chesapeake Bay Championship and the J/35s for their Mid-Atlantic Championship.

Alerions, Harbor 20s and J/70s Wrap up Fall Series 
Competitors arrived at the Club on Saturday morning for the final day of the 79th Fall Series to be greeted by a high tide that blurred the line between the launching area by the hoists and Annapolis Harbor.
2019-2020 Frostbite Series – 3 Weeks Away 
As Fall Series wraps up and with only two weekends left on the 2019 regatta calendar, that means that the kick off to the fall/winter racing series is just around the corner.
Double Handed Distance Race Videography Winner Announced 
The Notice of Race for the inaugural event alerted competitors that they were expected to carry an onboard “action camera” to record their adventure throughout the 24 hour race.
Etchells and Stars – Championship Weekend 
Although both classes have shared this fall weekend on the AYC regatta calendar for years, this is the first time in recent memory that they are also both hosting major fleet championships during the regatta.
