The next seminar is on Medical Aid at Sea and What to Include in Your Offshore First Aid Kit. The presenter is AYC member Dr. Kenneth Gummerson. Dr. Gummerson was Chief of the Emergency Department at Anne Arundel Medical Center for 30 years and is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Medical Genetics. He started sailing as a child and has been sailing the Chesapeake since 1978. For the last 25 years, he has sailed in Winsome, his 1959 Aage Nielsen mahogany yawl. He added Lena, a 1948 folkboat, to the fleet in the last 10 years, and raced her in the Eggemogin Reach Regatta last August. He has chartered in Maine, the San Juans, and the west coast of Scotland.
