Junior Summer Program Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures
The Junior Fleet Summer Program starts Monday, June 17! If you have a sailor participating in the program, please be aware of the drop off and pick up procedures.

Summer Program Drop Off & Pick UP Procedures

Drop Off Procedure:


• Please do not arrive before the start of your class time, instructors will not be outside until the start time to check your sailor in
• All drivers must stay in their cars, an instructor will come up to the driver’s side window when you pull up to the Sailing Center with a binder to check your sailor in for the day. Only the sailor is permitted to exit the vehicle.
• Once your sailor(s) is checked in, please slowly pull past the Sailing Center and out onto 5th Street 
• No driver will be permitted to step out of the vehicle to assist a sailor, instructors will be on hand to help your sailor.

Pick Up Procedure:


• Please do not arrive before the end of your sailor’s class time. Sailors will be ready to be picked up at the end of their class and will not be able to leave sooner, and the parking lot is in use. 
• All drivers must stay in their cars, an instructor will come up to the driver’s side window and ask for your sailor(s)’s names. As the driver, you will also sign the sailors out with that instructor on a tablet.
• The instructor will hail your sailors name over the instructor radio and your sailor(s) will head to your car.
• Once your sailor(s) are checked out and loaded into your vehicle, please slowly pull past the Sailing Center and out onto 5th Street
• No driver will be permitted to step out of the vehicle to assist a sailor, instructors will be on hand to help your sailor.

Important Things to Remember:


• Please be patient and follow the directions of the AYC Staff.
• Drivers are not allowed to get out of their cars. If you would like to speak with your sailor’s instructors, please park on another street and walk over to the drop off/pick up zone.
• Please do not arrive before the end of your sailor’s class time to pick them up, there is no waiting in cars in the parking lot of the Sailing Center 
• Sailors that stay for both a morning and afternoon class must bring their lunch with them and they will be supervised during the lunch break.
If you feel your sailor needs an extra hand carrying gear, please park your car on another street and walk with your sailor to the Sailing Center
