Two Day Schedule for AYC Annual Regatta

After looking over the past few years of entries and taking
input from competitors on the format, the Sailing Committee decided to change
things up a bit and offer both windward leeward courses as well as a distance
race with drop and government marks over a period of two days. On
Saturday, July 27, competitors in the Harbor 20, Alerion 28, and Cal 25 classes
will sail a ‘round the buoys “River Course.”
Sailing on the same day on the Bay Circle, J/22, J/30, J/70, and J/80 competitors will start off sailing drop marks courses, with the last
race of the day planned as a mix of drop marks and government marks finishing
up in the Severn River. A Bay Course is planned for J/105s and ORC
competitors on Sunday, July 28 with the same format. A competitors
party will be held at the Sailing Center on both nights, including
complimentary beer, a cash bar, and a trophy presentation. Per the Notice
of Race those who were entered in the cancelled 2018 event will have their 2019
entry fees waived.
