With the temps still in the 90s and two more WNRs to go, it’s hard to believe that the official kick off for fall racing starts on August 31 with the first day of the Annapolis Labor Day Regatta hosted by AYC and our friends down the street, Eastport Yacht Club. The event includes both drop mark racing and a pursuit race with the Competitors Party on Saturday at the Sailing Center and the Awards Party and Trophy Presentation on Sunday at EYC. J/30s come to town for their North American Championship on September 20-22, sandwiching on Saturday the 21st the Fall Race to Solomons with starts for handicap classes, multihulls, and J/105s. Headquarters in Solomons is the Holiday Inn Hotel and Marina where sailors are welcome to enjoy the pool and tiki bar upon arrival.
